Join us at Sussex Audiology Centre this summer as we support Martlets Hospice as proud sponsors of Shaun by the Sea.
Visit over 40 individually designed Shaun the Sheep sculptures displayed around Brighton & Hove’s streets, parks and other public areas between 9 September – 5 November. See if you can find ours!!
Shaun and his friends are a group of unique characters who flock together for fun and adventure. Brighton & Hove is a vibrant and eclectic city and Shaun by the Sea will help celebrate individuality and diversity, while also highlighting the importance of coming together as one supportive community which we are incredibly excited to be a part of.
The Shaun by the Sea art trail will be a wonderful opportunity to bring everyone together again on the city’s streets as we build new connections and celebrate you, our baa-rilliant community.
Why Martlets
Martlets Hospice provides essential services to local people affected by terminal illness. They help people do the things they love with the time they have. But they’re only able to do this with the generous support of public donation.
Everyone knows someone who has been affected by terminal illness, directly or indirectly, and many of us have experienced the amazing care and service offered by Martlets Hospice in some way.
We are incredibly proud at Sussex Audiology Centre to be able to support Martlets Hospice by sponsoring our Shaun the Sheep on this year’s art trail by the sea and providing some much needed fundraising support.
Our Artist – Rosie Apps
At Sussex Audiology, we’re very excited to be partnered with local artist, Rosie Apps who has designed and painted our Shaun sculpture.
Rosie Apps is a British illustrator who draws inspiration from her love of travel, the places she’s lived (and loved!), and her belief in the importance of celebrating and championing the places we each call home. Over the years, this has led her to her creating a number of intricate and beautifully illustrated hand-drawn maps.
Rosie feels most at home by the beach, and she’s spent the last 14 years living by the sea (swapping the warmer shores of Sydney, Australia, for Brighton, UK), so when she’s not working, you’ll often find her on the beachfront. It also means much of her work is inspired by summer and beachy vibes, and the themes of sun, sea, and surfing are often present in her works.
With clinics across the South East, and our team members all being from in or around Brighton & Hove area, we really wanted to be part of such a great event promoting the area we live and supporting such an incredible charity.
