About Us

Sussex Audiology Centre was set up in 1996 by leading ENT Surgeon, Robert Tranter, to offer the highest quality services for patients with hearing, balance and tinnitus problems. Now in its 23rd year and run by son, Ben Tranter, Sussex Audiology continues to grow and offer the latest technology and expertise in all its services.  We have grown from one Centre to four, covering Brighton & Hove, Haywards Heath and Worthing.  We also offer home visits for patients who cannot make it to any of our Centres.

We welcome patients and offer free hearing aid assessments with either Rosanne Westcott, Elli Parish or Ben Tranter and we are able to offer unbiased provision of the latest hearing aids as well as quick and efficient ear wax removal by microsuction.

Our tinnitus advice and rehabilitation is run by Saskia Harden and is supported by our audiologists and our balance assessment is run by Dr Rob Low.  Both of these services are offered in our Hove clinic. We also offer vestibular rehabilitation which is run by Lauren Willis in our Goring Centre.  Our secretaries, Tuija, Laura, Caz and Jude are able to take care of any bookings and queries.

We aim to cover these vital areas of hearing health and wellbeing with diagnostic and rehabilitation services supplied at the highest level possible.

With hearing, we strive to assess your hearing needs and fit the latest hearing aid technology with expert fitting skills combined with experience, care and aftercare services.

With balance problems, we aim to identify and rehabilitate clients using the latest diagnostic equipment so that our patients can resume day to day activities.

We have a strong support group of ENT consultants and hearing therapists to assist us and as an independent company, we offer an unbiased opinion on what is best for our clients.

Rosanne Westcott

Audiologist RHAD

My career started 40 years ago as an audiologist in the NHS learning all the basic skills of diagnostic hearing and balance testing, and hearing aid rehabilitation with both children and adults.  In the private sector I was able to qualify and gain further experience in fitting a wide variety of hearing aids. I was fortunate enough to join Sussex Audiology from it’s inception over 20 years ago and have really enjoyed being part of the team. A few years ago I was able to add to my skill set by qualifying in wax removal using both irrigation and Microsuction.

I have been regularly involved in medicolegal assessments of both hearing and balance and also am familiar with conducting the noise damage calculations for legal assessment of industrial noise compensation.
